Background
DSM was incorporated in Colorado in 1972. The name DSM was derived from Davis Sheet Metal, which was a proprietorship owned by the founder, Ralph Davis. Note that the legal name "D.S.M. Manufacturing Company" has periods in it. For convenience on the Web, we have left them out. Commonly described as "a closely held small business with less than 100 employees", the Company assures that all work is performed in compliance with EEOC requirements.
Ralph was an excellent craftsman who loved machine tools. By reinvesting all of his profits in the business, he was able to expand the shop with some of the finest equipment available.
Mary Davis, President, has been with the firm since 1983.
