Punching
The Punching Department is responsible for perforating holes and profiling the parts to finished size. The staff is trained in interpreting drawings and prints and calculating the flat layouts. The programs for controlling these machines are produced by the CAD/CNC Department.
The size of the hole that can be punched must be greater than or equal to the material thickness. The pressure requirement for producing the hole must be within the capacity range of our equipment (see Punching Force Calculation).
Personal equipment used includes safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and helmet when driving the forklift.
Inspection equipment used includes verniers, micrometers, squares, height gages, pin gages, and tape measures.
